We offer three (3) Tub Refinishing Protection Plans, based on your needs.
• Basic Tub Refinishing process comes with a one (1) year No-Peel warranty.
• Deluxe Tub Refinishing comes with a five (5) year No-Peel warranty.
• Premium Tub Refinishing comes with a ten (10) year No-Peel warranty.
Our Protection Plan Warranties only cover peeling. This warranty does not cover man-made damage or negligence on the part of the user.
Limited Warranty on the refinished item is: Bathtubs, wall tile and fully refinished fiberglass fixtures are warranted for a period of (1) one to (10) ten years. By default most warranties are (1) Year, on Residential Bathtubs, Showers, Vertical Wall Tile and Kitchen Cabinets, Counter tops, Bathroom Sink, Vanities, Inlays, Bathtub Modifications, Cultured Marble and Fiberglass. No Warranty on Kitchen Sinks, Floors, Spas and Chip Repairs. (1) Year for Commercial and Rentals. The Warranty covers peeling only of Material and Workmanship. We further warrant your refinished fixtures will not, on its own, chip, flake, peel or yellow for the time stated. Deterioration of the glossy finish or staining over time due to usage, cleaning practices or water conditions will be considered to be normal wear and tear. This warranty will not apply where the original porcelain has been removed, or the fixture has had to have patchwork, or the surface has rust.
The Warranty does not cover customer neglect, or for failure to comply with the care and maintenance listed at irefinishtubs.com/care.
Repairs caused by not complying with the care instructions given or listed on irefinishtubs.com/care will be the responsibility of the customer. Warranty requests must be made in writing and mailed to our office by regular mail or by email. Upon receipt we will contact you immediately. No Repair request will be accepted by telephone. Scheduling repairs will be at a Mutual Convenient time. Repairs will be during normal business hours. A $75 service fee plus repair cost shall be assessed for services not covered by this warranty. A $25 fuel charge applies to all repairs under warranty. Movement or flexing resulting in cracks or splits on any surface including fiberglass or grout lines are not warranted. iRefinish LLC retains the sole ability to render a final decision when determining if the refinished item is covered by this Warranty. Contact us for repairs immediately, delays will void the Warranty, as it will cause the surface to peel or lead to other problems.
We are not responsible for accidents due to slipping or falling inside of tubs or showers.
The following conditions will void your warranty:
The surface must not be allowed to remain continuously wet.
The fixture must not be used for water storage or contain standing water for extended periods of time.
Damage caused by continuous wetness from leaking or dripping plumbing.
Damage, chips and nicks caused by sharp or falling objects or by misuse . (Repair will be charged separately if these are caused after our work is completed. Please take care of your refinished fixture by not dropping or throwing things on to it.)
Staining or discoloration from chemicals, bleaches, rust, hair dyes or the use of abrasive cleaners.
The use of abrasive cleaners.
Movement in the substructure resulting in cracks or splits in the refinished surface or grout lines.
Degradation of the refinished surface caused by lack of cleaning.
Putting masking tape or any other adhesive on the refinished surface.
Change of property status (switch from private to commercial or rental) without notification.
In the event of any failure covered under this warranty, iRefinish will, at its option, 1) Repair the failed area, 2) refinish the entire fixture or 3) refund the price of the job to you, pro-rated as set forth above if applicable.
Caulk, plumbing, soap dishes and shower doors are not warranted.
We cannot prevent dust from settling onto the newly refinished surface, as we are not working in a 100% dust free environment. Regular cleaning will remove or make the dust particles less noticeable.
DO NOT PICK OR TRY TO REMOVE PARTICLES AS THIS MAY DAMAGE THE SURFACE, THUS AVOIDING YOUR WARRANTY.
We are not responsible for accidents due to slipping or falling inside of tubs. Tubs with corrosion or rust problems will be repaired to the best of our ability. There is no guarantee that a color selected by the customer for a refinishing project will match the color of existing fixtures. (ie. Toilet, sink)
Travel charges may apply if the fixture is located out of our service area.
If any problems occur, iRefinish must be notified within 72 hours or warranty may be voided.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS: Use only non-abrasive, liquid cleaners on your refinished surface. Cleaner must not contain bleach or chlorine and must be safe for use on acrylic, refinished or re-glazed surfaces. We recommend Simple Green or Dawn Dish Soap. Any cleaning utensil that is safe on Teflon may be used.
COLOR: The standard color used by iRefinish is Kohler white. Any custom color requires tinting and must be selected and approved one week prior to your appointment date. Additional charges may apply.
PLUMBING: We are not plumbers. We are not trained, licensed or authorized to do plumbing. We may, under certain circumstances find it necessary to remove or loosen handles, spouts, drain pieces or overflow covers. In those cases we will be responsible for those items unless the age or general decay of pipes or fixtures make this impossible. Inform us if your plumbing is old or questionable so we can take proper precautions.
CURE TIME: The cure time for use is 24 hours after refinishing is complete. DO NOT USE the fixture during this time and make sure that the fixture remains dry. Full cure time is 7 days.
TRANSFER OF WARRANTY: Warranty is transferable during the first year. iRefinish must be notified by the new owners within 90 days of purchase or warranty will be voided.
TERMS: Due on completion of work. We accept cash, check, Visa or MC. There is a $25 charge for returned checks.
